Sorud-e Melli-e Iran

"Sorood-e Melli-e Jomhoori-e Eslami" or "Sorud-e Melli-e Iran" is the national anthem of Iran. It was composed by Hassan Riahi, with words written collectively. This anthem was adopted in 1990, replacing the anthem used during the time of Ayatollah Khomeini.

سر زد از افق مهر خاوران فروغ ديده حق باوران بهمن فر ايمان ماست پيامت ای امام استقلال ازادی نقش جان ماست شهيدان پيچيده در گوش زمان فريادتان پاينده مانی و جاودان جمهوری اسلامی ايران	Upwards on the horizon rises the Eastern Sun, The light in the eyes of the Believers in Truth. The month of Bahman is the brilliance of our Faith. Your message, O Imam, of Independence and Freedom is imprinted on our souls. O Martyrs! Your clamours echo in the ears of time: Enduring, continuing, eternal, The Islamic Republic of Iran.
