North Central American English
From Open Encyclopedia
North Central American English is the dialect of the English language spoken most commonly in The Upper Peninsula of Michigan (UP), where it is commonly called Yooper. Although it is also spoken in parts of Wisconsin and southern Ontario, Canada, it is "heaviest" in the UP, where it is often difficult or impossible for non-natives to understand.
The term is also used to the similar or same accent spoken in Minnesota, particularly in rural areas.
