Nobuko, Princess Tomohito of Mikasa

Princess Tomohito of Mikasa was born on the 9th of April, 1955. She was born as Nobuko Aso, the third daughter of the late Takakichi Aso. Her father was chairman of Aso Cement Co., her mother Kazuko was the daughter of former prime minister Yoshida Shigeru. She studied in England and graduated from Rosslyn House College in 1973. She met and married HIH Prince Tomohito of Mikasa in November 1980 and was created Princess Tomohito of Mikasa. She is also engaged in various welfare-organisations and holds positions as president and vice-president. She has two daughters:
Royal duties
The princess accompanies her husband on various missions abroad to charity and welfare events, especially those concerning health issues. She also hold positions as president and honourary vice-president of various organisations, such as the Tokyo Jikeikai.
