Medical Technology refers to the science practiced by clinical laboratory scientists. Clinical laboratory scientists are part of the medical team of specialists that work together to determine the presence, extent or absence of disease. They do this by performing a full range of laboratory tests from simple blood screens to more complex tests to detect diseases such as cancer, coronary artery disease and diabetes.
