The following is a list of barbarian kings of Italy. The term "barbarian" is more applicable to the Lombards than it is to Odoacer and to the Gothic kings:

Ostrogothic Kings of Italy

Teias was killed by the Byzantine general Narses, who ended the Ostrogothic rule of Italy.

Charlemagne defeated Desiderius at the battle of Pavia (773) and took the title "King of the Lombards"
